Top 5 groups who will want an iPad

Here is our assessment of the top five groups who should look at buying an iPad:

Top 5 iPad uses

1/ Presenters: the iPad is a great way to make presentations. With iWork available for the iPad, users can run Keynote. This means that sales people on the move could receive a presentation by email, edit it and then present it using the VGA adapter which will connect an iPad to a standard projector.

2/ Photographers: the iPad camera kit allows you to connect a camera to the iPad to transfer photos. The iPad is a great way to review your images, with its large screen. Given that the iPad is only 0.6kg, it makes it a very portable piece of kit.

3/ Gamers:
the iPad will be a bit Christmas 2010 hit, as it offers great games possibilities with the large bright screen. We see this building on the success of the iPod touch.

4/ Education: there are lots of uses in education, but let's focus on my own area- research. PhD or research students can input notes, review research work, download and read articles or books, as this is a a very light and easy device to carry between lectures and libraries.

5/ Travellers: this device replaces your MP3 player, portable DVD player, laptop (for checking email or internet when away) and possibly the printed novel! With the new iBooks store, you won't need to carry all of those books with you when you head off on your two week break.
