Amazon returns to delivering to Ireland...at last
Amazon introduce delivery to a range for European countries
Amazon have started to ship electronic goods to Ireland again after an absence of about 3 years. Amazon had stopped shipments to Ireland when the WEEE recycling fee was introduced, but have now returned to selling goods with new shipping rates.
Delivery now costs about GBP£7 for a MacBook Air or iMac, and represent far better value than under the old system. In fact the prices offered by Amazon.co.uk beat Apple prices in some categories. A new MacBook Air costs around 1520 euro inc. delivery, compared to Apple price of 1699.
It is good to see Amazon back, and gives consumers another choice for online Mac purchases.
