O2 Ireland announce prices for iPhone 3G

New Wi-Fi deal announced...

The iPhone 3G will be available in Ireland on July 11 and can be purchased through O2 and Carphone Warehouse stores. There are two models: 8GB and 16GB. According to O2 Ireland, the iPhone 3G price will be subsidised, and priced according to which of the existing three iPhone tariffs a customer chooses:
8GB iPhone plans:
  • €49 on the €100 monthly tariff
    • €99 on the €65 tariff
    • €169 on the €45 tariff

16GB iPhone plans:
  • €129 on the €100 monthly tariff
    • €169 on the €65 tariff
    • €229 on the €45 tariff

The iPhone tariffs include anytime minutes, texts and a 1GB data bundle.

O2 and Bitbuzz have agreed a new deal to provide O2’s iPhone customers with free access to Bitbuzz Wi-Fi hotspots throughout the country. The deal, which is for an initial duration of 2 years, will cover Wi-Fi internet access at all Bitbuzz locations in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland – 155 in total.
Access to the Bitbuzz service will be unlimited for O2 iPhone customers. Access will be available from July 11 2008.
iPhone customers who bought their iPhones since the launch in Ireland in March will not receive any extra subsidies to switch across to the iPhoen 3G- they will have to pay the same rates as new customers.

More details available from Apple Store for Ireland or the Apple Store for the UK and you can check out our iPhone page here. O2 Ireland also have an iPhone page.
