MacWorld Expo: all heads turn to San Francisco...

Largest Mac Expo begins on Monday 9th January 2006...

Apple are preparing for this year's largest Mac exhibition, held in San Francisco from Jan. 9th to 13th. The event highlight is the keynote speech by Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple. This takes place on Tues. 10th (9am local time; 5pm in Ireland), and is likely to include a number of new hardware and software announcements.
Apple have already announced their commitment to begin the move to Intel processors in 2006, and Jobs' speech is likely to include further news on this transition.
There are likely to be a series of announcements from other major exhibitors during the course of the week, with exhibitors including Adobe, Microsoft, Quark, Griffin Technology, HP, Canon, and Epson. There is a full list of exhibitors here [you can download a floor plan from MacWorld Expo here].
For the keynote, a number of major US Mac news sites will carry up-to-date feeds, posting information from the event as announcements are made. These sites include: MacWorld news and MacNN.
We will be covering any new product announcements from Apple and the Mac Guide will be updated next week to reflect any changes to Apple's line-up.
